Warranty and complaints

Statutory warranty

The statutory warranty applies to all tyres purchased from us. For consumers it is two years from delivery of the goods.

What is a material or manufacturing defect?

A warranty claim exists if the tyre has a defect that was already present at the time of delivery – for example:

  • separation or breakage of the carcass without external force
  • imbalance or radial/lateral runout outside the manufacturer's tolerance
  • loss of air due to a leak in the tyre construction
  • separation of the tread layers

What is not covered by the warranty?

Tyres are wear parts. The following are therefore not covered:

  • normal wear from proper use
  • damage caused by tyre pressure that is too low or too high
  • damage caused by overloading or exceeding the speed index
  • kerb damage, cuts, penetration by foreign objects
  • uneven wear due to incorrect wheel alignment or faulty shock absorbers
  • damage caused by improper fitting or improper repair
  • signs of ageing due to improper storage

How to make a complaint

  1. Write to us at info@sinaopt.com.
  2. State your order number, item number and tyre size.
  3. Send us photos of the damage and a photo of the DOT number on the sidewall.
  4. Tell us the mileage driven and the remaining tread depth.

We usually reply within two working days. For justified complaints, depending on the case, we will repair, replace, reduce the price or refund the purchase.

Manufacturer's guarantee

Some manufacturers offer their own guarantee in addition to the statutory warranty. It applies in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them. Contact us if you would like to know whether a manufacturer's guarantee applies to a particular model.

Withdrawal instead of complaint

If the goods are in perfect condition and you simply want to cancel the purchase, please use your right of withdrawal.
