For the life of the front tread - valid until the minimum tread depth required by the authorities is met - within 6 months from the date of sale, provided that the tire is no older than 3 years from the date of manufacture. For the agricultural tires MRL and TVS 7 years from the date of manufacture. For the industrial tires MRL and TVS 5 years from the date of manufacture.
Within the above periods, the warranty obligation for material and manufacturing defects applies until the original tread depth of the tire has decreased by 3 mm (due to wear) for truck and light truck tires, and until the original tread depth of the tire has decreased by 1.6 mm (due to wear) for passenger tires, provided that the tire is operated under average conditions of use and the installation and operation regulations, as well as the manufacturer's specifications, are complied with.
In the event of extreme road and usage conditions, Sinaopt Kft. reserves the right to regulate its warranty liability differently from these terms and conditions.
The warranty claim cannot be enforced:
- in case of errors due to improper storage
- for installation or operating errors due to failure to comply with the relevant standards and the manufacturer's instructions
- for defects caused by a defect in the vehicle or its accessories, e.g. incorrect adjustment, etc.
- defects caused by accidents, vandalism or other external influences
- for repaired tires
- for failure of tires used for purposes other than their intended purpose
- for defects that occur during racing, speed or other experimental use
Warranty claims must be reported in writing to the distributor or a representative authorized by the distributor, taking into account the applicable laws.
The notification must include the following:
- detailed information about the tire (size, pattern, load capacity, serial number, residual channel depth, brief description of the defect, etc.)
- the date and place of sale, the name of the operator (buyer), the type of vehicle, the location of installation and operation of the tire on the vehicle, the date of removal
- the storage location of the claimed tire
- and in case of a complaint, the invoice must always be attached
Sinaopt Kft. reserves the right to examine and assess the complaint
- for which it has 30 days as required by law ! Sinaopt Kft. will refund the tire recognized as a legitimate complaint at the buyer's request or replace it with a new tire, for which it will give a discount in proportion to the recognized complaint claim and the residual channel depth from the selling price valid at the time of reporting the warranty claim.
Tire instruction manual
General instructions for the proper use of tires.
General information:
The tires are the only connection between the vehicle and the road. It is therefore very important that the tires are always in the best condition. Vehicle manufacturers, in cooperation with tire manufacturers, have determined which tires should be installed on the vehicle, taking into account all operating conditions. Deviations from this in terms of tire size, design, load or speed category are only permitted after consultation with a specialist.
It is essential that tires are replaced at regular intervals, as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Tire pressure:
One of the most important factors for safe driving is that the tire pressure is always at the prescribed value. The air pressure value fundamentally affects directional stability, smooth rolling, braking and traction transfer, and mileage.
If the vehicle is operated with tires with a lower pressure than the prescribed one, it significantly changes some of the vehicle's driving characteristics, including cornering stability, side creep properties, understeer or oversteer properties of the vehicle, etc. As a result of these combined effects, the driver of the vehicle becomes uncertain in certain situations - for example, strong crosswinds, bends, sudden changes in direction, etc. - and may even lose control of his vehicle. Low pressure leads to heating of the tire components and the damage caused by this can cause permanent and even rapid loss of pressure.
If the tire's internal air pressure is higher than the specified value, the tire's surface area in contact with the ground is reduced, which also has a significant impact on traction and other driving characteristics.
Tire air pressure should be checked regularly (every two weeks) (including the spare tire)! These checks should always be carried out on a "cold" tire. A tire is considered cold if it has not been used for 2-3 hours or if it has only been driven for 2-3 kilometers at a very low speed.
It is important not to forget to use valve caps. The valve cap should also have a seal to ensure air tightness and protect the valve from dirt.
Tire load:
Never overload the tire!
Overloading the tire - in addition to its detrimental effect on the service life - has approximately the same consequences as low internal air pressure. If you are unsure, check the vehicle's technical data to see what the maximum permissible load is.
Follow the rule that if passenger tires are loaded more heavily (close to the load limit, in the case of 4-5 people), they should be inflated to a higher pressure than if they are loaded normally (2-3 people). A large overload increases the deformation of the tire, which causes the vehicle to lose stability just as it does with low internal pressure. Therefore, during particularly fast driving maneuvers, such as sudden changes of direction or sharp bends, the driver loses control of the vehicle due to the deterioration of the tire's grip and side-slip properties, as we have already stated for low internal pressure.
In the case of truck tires and off-road tires, strictly follow the load capacity tables (they specify what load and, possibly, what pressure should be used at what speed).
Removing or installing tires:
Tires should only be removed or installed by a specialist workshop!
Wheel balancing:
A very important requirement after installing tires is their static and dynamic balancing.
Every rotating body has some degree of imbalance due to incomplete material distribution. This must be eliminated, because imbalance, in addition to its detrimental effect on the service life and wear rate, significantly affects the driving characteristics and stability of the vehicle.
This should only be done in a specialist workshop and by a specialist!
Visual inspection of the tyre:
In addition to operating the tyre at the correct pressure, the checks described in the following points can prevent unnecessary removal or premature failure of the tyre.
If stones stuck in the tread pattern are not removed, they will penetrate deeper and deeper and reach the carcass, where they will cause its failure and loss of pressure. Due to the extreme risk of accidents, special attention should be paid to foreign objects and stones stuck between twin tyres. These can fly out under the influence of centrifugal force and break the windscreen of the following vehicle and cause injuries. Therefore, every driver - also in his own interest - has a duty to warn the driver whose car he notices a foreign object or stone between the twin wheels!
Oil, fuel, paint or other chemicals on the surface of the tire can destroy the rubber material of the tire (e.g. oil can cause the tread to swell, which can reduce the depth of the grooves and the grip). In such a case, it is recommended to wash the tire immediately with plenty of water and detergent.
Check the tread wear regularly. Irregular wear often indicates a mechanical fault in the vehicle - bad settings (axle parallelism, wheel toe-in angle, wheel camber angle, wheel suspension and shock absorber play, brakes, brake drum play, chassis components near the wheels, steering wheel wobble, etc.). For example, bad geometry of the front wheels causes irregular wear, which reduces the mileage of the tire, but also worsens the steering characteristics and thus road safety. If this happens, it is advisable to have the axles and wheels adjusted in a specialist workshop in accordance with the technical specifications.
All tyres wear out faster when driven at high speeds, in sharp bends, with frequent braking and acceleration, and often on poor roads. Roads with potholes, stones or other sharp objects can damage the tyre, so drive carefully on such roads and before driving at normal (road) speed, check the tyres for damage.
Do not drive quickly onto the pavement at an acute angle and avoid hitting the kerb hard. This can cause internal damage to the tyre and later, at high speeds, lead to a tyre burst. If necessary, drive onto the pavement at a right angle and slowly.
If defects such as blisters, tears, cuts, penetrations that expose the carcass cords, or signs that the tire has received a large impact that could result in internal damage, are discovered, the tire should be removed as soon as possible and inspected by a specialist in a specialized workshop. This reduces the likelihood that the damage will increase during operation or that the tire will be destroyed by ingress of water and road dust. Early removal increases the chances of successful tire repair.
The groove depth should always be sufficient for the tire to perform properly on wet and dry roads.
In Hungary, according to the currently valid regulations - 6/1990. (IV. 12.) KöHÉM decree - the minimum groove depth measured over the entire surface is:
- for passenger tires 1.6 mm
- for truck tires 3.0 mm
for buses participating in international passenger transport 5.0 mm
